1. Who we are

The website vannipesciallo.ch and the Vanni Pesciallo Gioielli brand are operated by LabOr Pesciallo SAGL, Via Motta 5, 6828 Balerna, Switzerland (UID CHE-438.786.842, commercial register extract).

These terms apply to all purchases made on the website, to bespoke orders and to appointments booked online. For bespoke work agreed separately (a quotation signed or confirmed in writing), the terms of the quotation also apply.

2. Order and contract

The images and descriptions of the jewellery are as accurate as possible. As these are handmade pieces, small differences in size, colour and finish compared with the photos and previews (including engraving previews) are normal and do not constitute a defect.

By submitting an order, the customer makes an offer to purchase. The contract is concluded when we send the order confirmation by email. We may refuse an order, in particular in the event of an obvious error in price or description, a product that can no longer be made, or incomplete data; in this case we immediately refund any amount already paid.

3. Prices

Prices are in Swiss francs (CHF), including Swiss VAT. Any shipping costs are shown at checkout before the order is confirmed. For shipments outside Switzerland, duties, import taxes and customs fees of the destination country are borne by the customer.

4. Payment

We accept the payment methods offered at checkout (for example credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, TWINT, bank transfer). Card details are processed directly by the payment providers and are not stored by us.

With bank transfer, production begins once the payment has been credited; the bank details are given in the order confirmation. If payment is not received within 5 days, we may cancel the order.

For bespoke jewellery, a 50% deposit is paid before work begins and the 50% balance on delivery of the piece. The deposit covers the stone, materials and work already under way and is not refundable if the customer withdraws after work has begun.

5. Made-to-order jewellery and lead times

Most of our jewellery is made in our atelier after the order is placed, in the metal, with the stone, in the size and with any engraving chosen by the customer. For bespoke jewellery the production time is approximately 4–6 weeks, depending on the availability of the chosen stone and the complexity of the piece; the expected time is stated in the order confirmation and remains indicative. If we exceed the time communicated in the order confirmation by more than 30 days, the customer may cancel the order and receive a refund of the amount paid.

6. Diamonds and stones

We offer natural diamonds, natural coloured diamonds and lab-grown diamonds. As a rule we use and recommend diamonds of colour F, clarity VVS, excellent cut (3EX) and no fluorescence; other qualities are available on request.

We always state clearly whether a diamond is natural (formed in nature) or created in a laboratory (lab-grown): they have the same composition and the same appearance, but a different origin and value. Where a certificate is stated (for example GIA or IGI), the characteristics of the stone are those of the certificate supplied with the piece. On request we supply natural diamonds with traced origin or sustainability certification (for example Tracr, CanadaMark, SCS-007): in this case the programme and documentation are stated in the order confirmation.

7. Engraving

Inside engraving is done by laser and is free of charge. On request we can do it by hand, for a surcharge of CHF 150: this must be requested when ordering (in the notes or by writing to us). The customer is responsible for the text, symbols and file sent: we reproduce them as received, with any corrections agreed. The possible length depends on the size and width of the ring; if the text does not fit, we contact the customer before proceeding. We may refuse texts or images that are offensive or infringe the rights of third parties.

8. Delivery and collection

  • Free collection from the Locarno boutique or the Balerna atelier, by appointment, once the piece is ready. Proof of identity may be requested on collection.
  • Shipping by Swiss Post registered mail, with the corresponding cover, within Switzerland and abroad under the conditions shown at checkout. The parcel must be checked on delivery: any visible damage must be reported immediately to the carrier and to us.

Risk passes to the customer upon delivery of the parcel or collection of the piece.

9. Returns

For pieces that are ready-made and unaltered we voluntarily grant a right of return of 14 days from delivery. The piece must be intact, unworn, in its original packaging with the certificate. The return must be announced by email before shipping; the insured return shipment is at the customer’s expense. After inspection we issue a voucher for the same amount, redeemable with LabOr Pesciallo SAGL; on request, instead of the voucher, we refund using the same payment method used.

The following cannot be returned: pieces made or altered at the customer’s request: made to order, bespoke, resized, engraved, or with stone, metal or size chosen by the customer.

The mandatory rights of consumers resident abroad under the law of their country remain reserved.

10. Warranty

Our jewellery is guaranteed for 24 months from delivery against manufacturing defects. In the event of a defect, the customer contacts us immediately after discovering it; we first repair the piece or, if repair is not possible, replace it or refund the price.

The warranty does not cover normal wear (for example the rhodium plating of white gold), damage caused by knocks, falls, crushing or chemicals, the loss of stones due to impacts, or jewellery altered or repaired by third parties: any intervention by third parties on the piece voids the warranty.

11. Appointments

Appointments at the boutique, at the atelier or online are free of charge and without obligation. We ask you to let us know if you cannot come, so that we can offer the time slot to other clients.

12. Liability

We are liable for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence. To the extent permitted by law, any other liability is excluded, in particular for indirect damage or for interruptions to the website.

13. Intellectual property

Designs, photos, texts, trademarks and jewellery models on the website belong to LabOr Pesciallo SAGL or their respective owners and may not be copied or used without written permission.

14. Personal data

We process personal data in accordance with Swiss data protection law and, where applicable, the European regulation (GDPR). Details can be found in theprivacy policy.

15. Applicable law and jurisdiction

Swiss law applies, excluding the Vienna Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The place of jurisdiction is the registered office of LabOr Pesciallo SAGL; for consumers, the jurisdiction of their place of residence provided for by law remains reserved. Consumers resident in the European Union retain the protection of the mandatory provisions of their country.

If any clause proves invalid, the others remain in force. We may update these terms; each order is governed by the terms in force at the time of the order.
